Superb 2021 Fender Custom Shop Poblano Stratocaster. Part of the 2021 Custom Shop Spring Event the Limited Edition Poblano comes with a Killer looking Super Heavy Relic Three Colour Sunburst finish, Hand Wound Ancho Poblano Pickups and a roasted quarter-sawn maple neck.
Featuring a two piece, weight sorted Ash body with an SRV evoking Super Heavy Relic Sunburst Nitrocellulose finish, a roasted, quarter-sawn maple neck with a 21 fret, sorted for dark Lam Rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5” radius, Clay dots and Jumbo 6100 frets. The neck has a medium tint to the lacquer and an aged finish simulating play wear. The neck has an accurate large ’63 C profile measuring 21.85mm at the 1st fret tapering to 25.62mm at the 12th with a comfortable 42.2mm nut width. The electronics are mounted to a 3-ply Black pickguard, in keeping with the Number One theme, with white pickup covers and knobs. Hardware is Nickel plated throughout and all early sixties appropriate in spec. The pickups are a trio of the great sounding Handwound Poblano Stratocaster single coils, calibrated for each position, with the output increasing slightly from neck to bridge and designed to add a little spice to the traditional Stratocaster tone. The pickups measure 5.76K, 6.05K and 6.96K in the Neck, Middle and Bridge respectively.
This Limited Edition is a great example of Fenders modern Custom Shop quality with a feature set that distinguishes it from its the other great Custom Shop instruments. The guitar comes with its Original Limited Edition Case, Certificate and assorted case accoutrements.
