2003 Gretsch G6120-DSW Nashville, Western Orange
By Gretsch
£1,795.00
2003 Gretsch G6120-DSW Nashville in Western maple stain with original Gretsch Case from the first year of production. Made in the excellent Terada factory the guitar is based on the Chet Atkins 6120 produced by Gretsch from the mid ’50s. Although never sold as a reissue the 6120-DSW Nashville is a pretty faithful recreation of a ’55 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins and remained in production until 2015.
Easily recognisable thanks to its Western themed appointments the G6120-DSV Nashville features the classic G’ brand to the top, western engraved fingerboard inlays, steer’s head headstock inlay, Dual DynaSonic pickups and polished Bigsby.
The guitar is in excellent condition, the Dynasonic pickups sound wonderful with plenty of twang and bite, great note separation clarity and definition. Although being a single coil pick up they have plenty of power to give your amp a little push. Think part P-90 part Tele bridge pickup.
The guitar plays well with minimal wear to the frets, the Bigsby is well behaved and aside from some oxidation to the gold plated controls the guitar is in excellent overall condition.
