2008 Fender Jazzmaster – Old Lake Placid Blue (Crafted in Japan)

This 2008 Fender Jazzmaster is a stunning example of Japanese craftsmanship, featuring a rare Old Lake Placid Blue finish that sets it apart from typical Jazzmasters. Known for their exceptional build quality, Fender’s Japanese-made models are highly regarded among players and collectors alike, and this Jazzmaster is no exception.

The guitar has developed a lot of character and vintage charm from years of play, giving it a worn-in feel a look that only enhances its appeal. The Old Lake Placid Blue finish has aged gracefully, with subtle wear, dings and worming that add to the guitar’s authentic, road-worn vibe. It looks like a much older instrument reminiscent of an original custom colour 60s example with the very well matched Old Lake Placid Blue finish.

It's been refretted with larger Custom Shop type fret wire, offering modern playability without sacrificing the guitar’s vintage aesthetic. The new frets provide smooth bends, improved note clarity, and longer fret life, and the comfortable C profile neck is a joy to play.

As with all Jazzmasters, this guitar features the iconic floating tremolo system and dual-circuit design, delivering everything from shimmering clean tones to gritty, overdriven sounds with ease. The Japanese craftsmanship ensures tight neck joints, high-quality materials, and attention to detail, resulting in excellent resonance and sustain.

Whether you’re looking for a versatile stage guitar or a unique addition to your collection, this Jazzmaster is a fantastic option. With its vintage looks, charm, custom fretwork, and timeless design, it offers the perfect balance of classic looks and modern playability.

Comes complete with an aftermarket gig bag.
