Description

Arctic White Fender International Series Stratocaster from 1981 in played but original condition with original Case and Tags.

Produced only for a short time in the early 1980’s the International Series Strats injected a bit of much needed colour in to the Fender Range. The finishes offered were Arctic White, Capri Orange, Cathay Ebony, Maui Blue, Monaco Yellow, Moroccan Red and Sahara Taupe.

The guitar looks great. The Arctic White finish has aged nicely, it has picked up the odd edge knock and mark over its 40+ years, there is a small spot of touch up by the 5 way but overall it has a nice played but naturally aged vibe. The guitar plays well and sounds great, with all five positions sounding balanced and articulate. Electronics are stock with three Fender Pickups, a trio of CTS pots bearing the code 137 8112. Like wise the hardware is all correct. One of the characteristics of the International Series guitars was the mixed black and white plastic hardware. The high E tuner has taken a knock and is slightly bent but still functions perfectly.

Weighing a respectable 8.2 lbs the guitar comes with its original Fender moulded case, tags, tremolo arm and bridge cover.
