Description

Very cool first year issue Fender Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster. Released in conjunction with the estate of the late Clash front-man and modelled after Strummer's repainted '66 Tele. Featuring an Alder body with a mid-'60s "C"-shape maple neck with 7.25" radius Rosewood fingerboard and a set of custom-voiced Joe Strummer Telecaster pickups. Other features include a vintage-style 6-saddle Telecaster® bridge, era-correct 3-ply parchment pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines and a custom neck plate, all featuring Fender's Road Worn finish to completing the look.

The guitar is in original condition with no changes or repairs and only the lightest fret wear to allude to the guitar having been played. Weighing in at only 7.3lbs it has a lively ring to its acoustic tone and plugged in the pickups have a bright, percussive sound that avoids sounding spikey or thin.  sounds. The neck has an instantly comfortable profile with a nut width of 42.18mm and a depth at the 1st fret of 21.26mm increasing to 23.56mm at the 12th fret.

A great guitar that will no doubt appeal to fans of the Clash and their late frontman but also a great Telecaster in its own right. Lightweight, great pickups and a great feeling neck. This guitar is one of the first 1500 guitars shipped so it comes with a collection of stencils and stickers designed by Shepard Fairy as well as the the Black Tolex Fender Case.
