Model Overview:

The Stratocaster Plus series was produced between 1987 and 1998 by Fender and was the highest end standard production model Stratocaster at the time; eventually evolving into the Deluxe Stratocaster.

Our '88 example is one of the cleanest Strat Plus model guitars we have had in from the first full year of production. Features all of the traits of these early examples, the most important being the three Gold Lace Sensor pickups (invented by Don Lace and introduced in 1987) which supply all of the classic chiming Strat tones but without hum. Other appointments include TBX tone controls, Sperzel locking tuners, two-point tremolo and a Wilkinson roller nut which is designed to reduce friction when using the tremolo.

The guitar feels fantastic to play and looking at the amazing condition it's hard to believe that this is an instrument which is now over thirty years old. The Strat Plus comes with a Fender Custom Shop case and additional Wilkinson nuts to accommodate different string gauges.
