Super clean 1983 Fender Squier ’62 Jazz Bass. Born out of the partnership between Fender USA, the newly created Fender Japan and two Japanese distributers the Joint Venture or JV instruments were available to both the domestic Japanese market and exported to the UK, US and Europe.
Built in the highly regarded FujiGen Gakki factory, the early JV Squier instruments proved extremely popular especially in the UK where a new JV instrument would cost just over half the price of its U.S. made Fender equivalent.

3 tone sunburst over alder body with a dark uniform, slab rosewood fingerboard. Squier by Fender Headstock decal. 4-7-83 neck date with the commonly seen EX stamp denoting Export model. The original pots have the original solder intact and the original pickup hook up wires are cloth covered. The original Hardware is all in excellent condition.

The bass has the a lovely vintage tone with both pickups sounding strong and no issues with the pots. These early JV instruments have always been popular but are getting increasingly hard to find in such good condition.
The Bass comes with an old non-Fender HSC and is currently strung with flatwound strings.
