Particularly nice late-seventies Fender Precision Bass in an eye catching Aged Olympic White Finish with a dark Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Nicely original throughout the Bass comes with its original Fender case.

An original Olympic White finish shows minimal wear with the exception of some forearm wear, otherwise its in great condition throughout. The alder body is a good weight and shows no signs of modification. The Rosewood ‘boarded Maple neck, likewise shows little wear with the S7 Serial number matching the decal on the reverse of the pickguard. The green inked neck stamp dates the neck to ’77 with a J. Torres stamp also present along with the other expected QC stamps. The nut a and frets are original to the bass. Hardware is all standard for the later seventies with chrome plate Tuners, four bolt neck plate and bridge. The black pickguard is a feature of the Precision bass from ’75 onwards with the thumb rest moving above the strings. Internally the grey back Precision pickup and CTS pots are all correct with pot source codes of 137 4776.

Currently strung with flat wound strings it plays great with a comfortable action. The neck has the classic 70’s profile with a 42mm nut width. Depth at the 1st fret is 21.67 increasing to 24.84 at the 12th. The original frets have los a little height but the bass still plays well. All in a great looking and sounding Precision Bass with no changes and it seldom seen late seventies Fender Case.
