Model Overview:

Originally introduced in 1959 as a student instrument, Gibson Melody Makers are seriously cool vintage solidbody Gibson guitars, and a relatively inexpensive gateway in the world of vintage Gibson guitars. Constructed from a Mahogany set neck along with a thinner Mahogany body makes this is a wonderfully light and resonant instrument. This particular model from 1963  features both a bridge and neck pickup for a wide range of tones, along with a nice sunburst finish that remains wonderfully vibrant. The neck is a typical mid '60s Gibson profile, with a chunky feel that is still extremely playable. This guitar also features the less common 'horse shoe' Maestro Vibrola, although this is now unused, with a period wraparound tailpiece providing some added stability in its place. This guitar also includes its original crocodile case.

This guitar is in very good condition, and features the kind of cosmetic wear commensurate with a guitar of its age. The Maestro vibrato arm is missing. It is internally original, and retains its original case.
