This is a stunning, Limited Edition Guild DK-70NT Peacock, arguably one of the fanciest Guild instruments produced with appointments to rival a 45 Series Martin and the build quality of a Johnny Smith Artist Award. The Peacock was limited to 50 made with this one being no.7.
"It was played on all the early Skunk albums (featured on secretly and you’ll follow me down) and acoustic sessions from then on. It was on many TV show appearances across Europe, awards, Jools Holland Hootenanny and in guitar mag features" recalls Ace
Westerly made, it features a stunning, highly figured, flamed Koa top, Koa back and sides paired to a two-piece Mahogany neck with centre strip. The Fingerboard and bridge are high grade Ebony. The appointments are befitting a high-end Limited Edition instrument with the eyes instantly drawn to the ornate pearl inlayed pickguard with elegant Peacock motif. The pearl theme continues with the multi-ply sound hole rosette, body binding and headstock mirroring position Markers and inner binding. The Headstock is inlayed in pearl with the Guild G-Shield logo and the truss rod cover is a suitably ornate gold plated piece. Tuners are gold plated Grover Rotomatics with Stairstep Imperial buttons. The guitar is still fitted with the original active pickup with setting markings still evident.
