Superb Gibson LP-295 in fantastic condition. Released in April 2008 as part of Gibson’s popular Guitar of the Month series, the LP-295 perfectly presents the appointments of the ES-295 in a solid body Les Paul guitar.

Featuring a Mahogany body with a Maple top, the LP-295 features a sharper Florentine cutaway than a traditional Les Paul with a nitrocellulose Goldtop finish. The headstock is bound with the traditional Crown inlay normally seen on the ES-295. The neck is the standard Les Paul Mahogany neck with a '50s rounded profile and Rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram inlays. The guitar also features hand-painted, cream coloured pickguard with gold flowers along with a chrome Bigsby tailpiece. Pickups are Gibson ’57 Classic in the neck and a ’57 Classic Plus in the bridge position.

The guitar is in fantastic original condition with very little wear to the effortlessly stylish Goldtop finish. Frets are equally good with plenty of height and very little wear evident. The pickguard has some minor spider-webbing from the screw holes, quite common for this model. The neck is a large robust 50’s profile that certainly suits the guitar, measuring 43.34mm at the nut with a 1st fret depth of 21.64 increasing to 25.22mm the the 12th fret. Gibson’s ’57 Classic pickup delivers warm, full tone with a balanced response, packing that classic Gibson PAF humbucker crunch. The ’57 Classic Plus is the perfect bridge-position companion to the ’57 Classic, inspired by the design of the original PAFs of the late 1950s and the early 1960s. The Pickups measure 7.76K in the neck and 8.01 in the bridge. The factory Bigsby is another seldom seen feature on Gibson Les Pauls and works perfectly here thanks to the factory Graphite nut and saddles. The guitar weighs in at a very reasonable 8.8lbs.

The guitar comes with its original Gibson Guitar of the Month Case.
