Great looking, featherweight and versatile 2006 Artist Package Paul Reed Smith Hollowbody II in Violin Amber Sunburst finish. Offered alongside the Hollowbody I, the Hollowbody II shares the same fully hollow construction as the Hollowbody I but with an elevated spec. This guitar is an Artist Package instrument with Artist Grade Maple top and back and gold hardware throughout and features the powerful, integrated LR Baggs Piezo pickup.
Featuring a carved Maple top and carved Maple back with Mahogany sides the Hollowbody Model is like no other PRS guitar, a fully hollow instrument with a deeper body than the traditional solid PRS models. A Mahogany neck is topped with a 22 fret Pao Ferro fingerboard inlayed with Paua birds. The traditional magnetic pickups are PRS’s in house archtop humbuckers with the LR Baggs Piezo being mounted in the proprietary PRS Bridge. Controls are simple and intuitive to use with two individual inputs, one for the isolated Piezo the other a mix input that allows the player to blend between the humbuckers and piezo pickups. This is controlled by the blend knob with the other two knobs acting as master tone and volume controls. A regular 3-way switch controls the humbuckers in the traditional manner with the final mini-switch offering humbucker only, humbucker/Piezo and Piezo only options. The guitar has the typical PRS level of effortless playability and strung with 11 gauge strings it feels solid with a resonant acoustic voice. The guitar weighs featherweight 5.2 lbs.
The guitar is is excellent condition throughout, the finish is superb with very little signs that the guitar has had much playtime at all. The guitar comes safely housed in its PRS case, with hangtag and paperwork.
