Nice example of the first incarnation of the Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster Reissue from 2004. A classic model from the Fender Catalog that can trace its heritage back over 40 years to 1982. An instant hit then and still a great seller for Fender today, this near twenty year old guitar is in great cosmetic condition with only some minor wear to the pickguard to suggest the guitar has really been played.

Featuring the celebrated combination of an Ash body with a grain-highlighting Butterscotch/Blonde finish, a 21 fret one piece Maple neck and the iconic single ply, 5-hole Black moniker defining pickguard. The classic appointments don’t stop there; the maple neck has a comfortable 52-esque profile “U” shape profile with vintage fret wire and a 7.25” radius, tuners are no-line Kluson Deluxe, Two American Vintage Tele Alnico III Single coil pickups and a vintage bridge with three brass saddles.

The guitar came in to us with an overly bowed neck but in an effort to keep the guitar intact we enlisted Hugh Price to see if it could be remedied and the good news is after some work we have a great playing guitar. As a result of the work, the guitar has been re-fretted, a new nut fitted and the fingerboard has been planed and resprayed with a great colour match lacquer. The factory wiring has been converted to the ‘modern’ post ’66 style from the historically correct ’52 style.

The guitar comes complete with its original tweed case, A4 Certificate and assorted case literature.
