Imaculate 2016 Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature with original case Martin introduced the 000-28EC in 1996 and such is the popularity of the artist and model it is still in production today.
Based upon the 000-28 the guitar combines a 000 Auditorium body size popular amongst finger style and blues players with the string flexibility of the 24.9 inch scale length and 28 Series appointments. The guitar features an X-braced solid Sitka Spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides with a Mahogany neck with handout dovetail joint, an ebony fingerboard and drop in belly bridge. Appointments include Abalone Diamonds and Squares Fingerboard Inlays and Eric Clapton Signature, Fine Herringbone and Multi-Stripe Rosette and Herringbone and Grained Ivoroid binding. Tuners are Nickel Open Gear with Butterbean buttons and the pickguard is faux Tortoiseshell.
The guitar is in fantastic original condition and shows very little signs of use. The guitar has just been given a tweak by our tech and is playing better than new. The modified V neck profile evokes Martin neck profiles of the 1930’s and the 1-3/4 nut width gives plenty of string spacing at the nut for those that prefer.
The guitar comes with its original case in equally good condition.
