2002 Martin OM-42
Always very popular, the Orchestra Model from Martin doesn’t get much better than the 42 Series guitars. Dark solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, dark mahogany neck wood, toned tight-grained Sitka Spruce top, Ebony Fingerboard and bridge and a lot of hand inlayed pearl with a lot of 45 style inlay work and purfling. The guitar has a wider hand fit dovetail neck to accommodate finger style players with a nut width of 1 3/4in on its 25.4 in scale neck.
This is an amazing looking instrument, its high gloss finish is in great condition for a 15 year old guitar, very clean and the abalone and pearl inlay work has settled down nicely. It sounds big and rich with good string balance and a great dynamic range.
